Some of the diverse musical groups that Pete Sweeney performs with on a
regular basis:

Sensemaya--- Sensemaya is a Latin Jazz group led by pianist Dave Gleason. The group plays many original compositions as well as Salsa classics. This band performs often as 7 pieces with a full Salsa rhythm section, or as a quartet with drumset.

Adrian Cohen trio-- The Adrian Cohen trio performs every Thursday at the Jazz club Justins on Lark st in Albany NY. Adrian Cohen is an accomplished piano player who perfoms original music as well as jazz standards. The trio is rounded out by bassist Mike Del Prete and Pete Sweeney on drums. The band recorded a cd in 2002 entitled "Standardized."

Ray Alexander trio-- Ray Alexander is a jazz pianist that works at the prestigious Sagamore Hotel in Bolton Landing NY. Alexander has been performing at the Sagamore regularly for over 15 years. His trio performs a wide variety of music from jazz standards to show tunes

Joey Thomas Big Band--- The Joey Thomas Big Band is an 18 piece orchestra which performs classic big band music in the style of Count Basie and Woody Herman. This group has been very active for the last 12 years performing and traveling throughout the country. Joey Thomas has recorded three cds; two of which featuring the vocals of Jay Traynor were nominated for Grammys.

Sonny and Perley-- Sonny and Perley perform jazz and Latin standards throughout the Northeast. They perform many popular shows which feature the music from the "Great American Songbook" and Ella Fitzgerald.

Laurel Masse-- Laurel is a great jazz and cabaret singer who was one of the founding members of the jazz vocal group "The Manhattan Transfer" in the 1970s. Pete Sweeney performed on her radio show on WAMC.

Jay Traynor-- Jay is the founder of the popular 1960s rock group Jay and the Americans. He was also a member of the DooWop band the Mystics. Jay was recently voted into the vocal hall of fame

Tim Olsen-- Tim is an accomplished pianist and arranger who teaches at Union College in Schenectady NY. Tim writes and arranges for his own big band as well as many other small groups.
